About Our Telehealth Services

Working with you to support your health and wellness always has been and always will be a priority for kok体育注册平台.

Telehealth Appointments

Telehealth appointments — using video conferencing or a phone call to consult with your healthcare providers — have become a routine part of care during the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to be a critical resource we’ll use as we move through this together. These tools enable you to maintain social distancing while keeping up with important health needs.

Providers use a variety of platforms for telehealth visits including kok体育注册平台 VirtualVisit and StarLeaf. Your provider will provide instructions on how to use their specific platform prior to your appointment.

Telehealth Urgent Care

If you have an urgent, non-life-threatening need, kok体育注册平台 OnDemand is a telehealth tool available to you. Download the app and instantly connect with an emergency medicine physician for non-life-threatening urgent medical conditions. If you have an immediate need, please don’t avoid seeking emergency care. Our emergency departments are open for in-person visits and we are taking every precaution to keep our patients, staff and community safe. **If you are experiencing a medical emergency, immediately dial 911.

Primary Care for Existing Patients

If you are an existing patient of kok体育注册平台's Healthcare Associates (HCA) or a Beth Israel Deaconess-HealthCare primary care practice, please contact your doctor’s office directly by calling or messaging through your practice’s patient portal to learn what telehealth tools are available.

Primary Care for New Patients

For non-urgent needs, many practices are accepting new patients and offering telehealth at this time. Please call the doctor’s office directly to see if you can make a new appointment.

Telehealth for Specialty Appointments

If you have an existing relationship with a specialist, please reach out to their office directly to find an approach for connecting that works best for you. If you do not have an existing relationship and would like to connect with a specialist, work with your primary care physician.

Additional Information

Currently copays and other cost sharing is covered for COVID-19 related visits. Otherwise telehealth visits (phone and video) will have a copay determined by their insurance company.

The majority of our clinical departments are offering telehealth visits for appointments and evaluations. Patients should be referred to specialty clinics by their primary care physician (PCP). When scheduling the visit, the clinician will determine if a telehealth visit is appropriate. If you're not sure whether your healthcare provider offers telehealth visits, please call their office directly to find out.
